Rabbit Stand
with Pollen Design, for Metrokane :: 2005
Designed as a companion to Metrokane’s successful Rabbit and Houdini corkscrew lines. The aim here was to provide a sturdy base for using these corkscrews in high-volume environments, such as restaurants and tastings. The unit is weighted to prevent shifting, features a non-slip base pad, and adjusts rapidly with a quick-release cam mechanism.
This was a team project; my responsibilities included some sketch development of form, the mechanical design of the cam lever, SolidWorks modeling, and tooling support.
